Residential & Commercial HVAC Service Technician
Our HVAC Residential & Commercial Service Technicians service, maintain, and repair heating and air conditioning systems in commercial and industrial settings. We are searching for individuals well-versed in customer service that have the ability to provide our customers great quality and service by diagnosing issues and troubleshooting. Job consists of situations that can be physically demanding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Services, maintains and repairs heating and air conditioning related equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Recommends, develops, or performs preventive or general maintenance procedures, such as cleaning, power-washing, or vacuuming equipment, oiling parts, or changing filters; advise others on issues related to repairs, installation, or equipment design.
- Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in commercial heating and air conditioning systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.
- Repairs or services ventilating, air conditioning & heating systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning ducts, or refilling non-toxic refrigerants.
- Repairs or replaces defective equipment, components, or wiring; services systems or components; repairs or replaces worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
- Inspects and tests systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions; inspect systems to determine if they are operating properly.
- Adjusts system controls to settings recommended by manufacturer to balance system; adjusts equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Properly completes all paperwork required for each job.
- Operates company vehicle; maintains cleanliness of assigned company vehicle.
- Ability to service commercial gas fired systems
- Ability to service commercial exhaust and make-up air systems
- Ability to service commercial packaged units
- Ability to service split systems
- Ability to service pumps
- Ability to service residential systems
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of company practices, procedures, machines, and equipment.

- Trade School degree or certificate preferred
- High School diploma required
- Minimum 1 Years of experience in HVAC/R installation & service
- EPA Certification
- Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license

- Dexterity is mandatory as this job requires frequent use of hands and fingers.
- Will be required to talk, hear, and see. Vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and ability to differentiate between colors.
- Will be required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, push items overhead, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch; sill be required to stand for extended periods of time.
- Regular lifting and moving of up to 50lbs.; occasional lifting of items weighing up to 100lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders and work on scaffolding.
- Travel is required within service area.
- Uncontrolled working environments include job sites in various phases of construction, residential and commercial settings, customer homes, highways and roadways while operating company vehicles.
- Controlled working environments include company headquarters.
- Will be required to work outdoors and in unfinished construction settings; will be exposed to various weather conditions.
- May be exposed to unpleasant sights and smells.
- Safety equipment such as hard hats, protective eye glasses and gloves may be required in certain work settings.
